Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps. I tried updating the device drivers for the camera and also the web cam web cam shows in Sound, video and game controllers but in both cases the driver update said latest driver installed. After I finished the 3 suggestions I rebooted and now I get a screen that says it can't find camera and when I look at device manager it is no longer listed there.
