He came home the next day and told me all about it, he had a bunch of fun, him and his buddy ended up making friends with a few other concert goers and partied with them... never once did I flip! I think it's healthy to be able to do things like that! Another buddy of his recently wanted to take a 13 hr trip to go to another concert and I said- go for it! have fun! (he didn't end up going, but point is I had no issue with it). I said to him, "Why do I feel like if the shoe was on the other foot, you'd freak out and not be speaking to me?" And his response, "Well if you went with someone like so and so, I wouldn't mind" -- implying that he only trusts certain friends of mine. Um, if he trusted ME it shouldn't matter who I would go with to an out of state concert, right?!?!?!? wtf?

I do want this to work. He does make me happy at times, but it seems less and less and I have to beg for anything.
Before I left she got kind of weird, though. She told me sometimes she doesn't like to be physical and that I shouldn't expect her to be receptive all the time. She said there was "a guy" in her past who "did something"...then she paused for like a solid ten seconds and I could see she was tearing up, then she told me she couldn't talk about this. I said I understood and that I will respect any boundaries she establishes, but that I also need to know she is attracted to me on a physical level and that involves some measure of physical intimacy beyond just cuddling. She apologized again, telling me that she doesn't want me to get the impression that she doesn't like me. I said "as long as you like me it's cool" and we parted ways with a final peck.
This thread has gone completely off-topic from the original post, and has descended into me having to defend myself against accusations of being cold, selfish, ruining kids' lives - all because I stated that I choose not to be involved with my bf's children and they are not my priority.
AD1980, it just sounds like you need to change some things man. I see different women with different men everyday. If something is not working, then the approach has to be changed.
